United Nations’ Bullish Confirmation about Ripple (XRP) and Stellar (XLM)

A United Nations Capital Development Fund webinar has outlined a vision for a new international payments system, and Ripple and Stellar sit at its core. Crypto researcher SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) brought the clip to wider attention, noting that both networks are “directly mentioned and clearly shown in the international payments diagram as central parts of the global payments network.” The presentation describes an open, regulated payment inter-network designed to connect every major financial network on the planet. It places XRP alongside SWIFT , Visa, and Mastercard as equal participants in this global infrastructure. Report Shows The presenter described the system as a connective layer over what already exists. “It’s not a new system, but it connects existing systems,” the speaker said. The goal is to build a system in which a payment initiated on any network should reach any other network, regardless of which platform processes it. Ripple and Stellar were named directly alongside traditional financial giants. It’s not as alternatives, but as equal participants in the same infrastructure. Three Phases of Development The webinar outlined three phases for building this inter-network. The first is account addressing, described as “a global directory” that allows users to send payments using a simple identifier rather than complex account numbers. Phase two introduces tokenized compliance, where a signed token issued by trusted compliance providers reduces the cost of meeting regulatory requirements. Phase three targets real-time or near real-time settlement of cross-border funds using distributed ledger technology or CBDCs. XRP has already made strides in this field. Ripple recently collaborated with Ondo Finance, Mastercard, and J.P. Morgan’s Kinexys to complete the first near-real-time, cross-border redemption of a tokenized U.S. Treasury fund. The XRP Ledger processed the asset leg of the transaction in under five seconds, outside traditional banking windows, establishing a working framework for 24/7 global settlement. Tokenized compliance makes them cheaper to clear. Instant settlement makes them faster to finalize. XRP’s speed and settlement efficiency position it well for the third phase. Why XRP Stands Out Ripple has spent years building infrastructure for cross-border payments. XRP settles transactions in 3 to 5 seconds at a fraction of a cent. The UN’s inter-network prioritizes real-time settlement as its third phase, which aligns directly with what Ripple already does at scale. SMQKE highlighted that the webinar describes payments “to anyone, anywhere, on any network.” Ripple and Stellar are not just being evaluated for inclusion in this architecture. They are already in the roadmaps for the next phase of global finance. Disclaimer : This content is meant to inform and should not be considered financial advice.
