The stock price of condom manufacturer and supplier Cupid Limited soared on Monday despite the turmoil in the equities market. At the time of writing, Cupid is trading for ₹90.35, up by 12.32% from its previous close price of ₹80.44. The stock reached a high of ₹ 92.90 early in the trading session albeit the price is still down 77.78% over the last five trading days. Stock Market Sell-off Cupid’s stock price surged despite the sell-off in the stock market. The Nifty 50 and Sensex plummeted on Monday amid concerns that the rising oil prices triggered by the conflict in the Middle East will be economically damaging to India, the world’s third largest consumer of oil. The company sustained significant losses last week but its stock price jumped as investors anticipate the distribution of equities bonuses. 4:1 Bonus The bonus will be issued at a ratio of 4:1, which means that shareholders will get four bonus shares for every one share they have. The company set March 9 as the record data for determining the shareholders who will be eligible to receive the bonus shares. “We wish to inform you that the deemed date of allotment would be next working day i.e. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, for allotment of 1 07,57,28,560 fully paid-up Bonus Equity Shares of Re. 1/- each in the proportion of 4:1 i.e. 4 (four) new fully paid-up equity shares of Re. 1/-(Rupee One only) for every 1 (One) existing fully paid-up equity share of Re, 1/- (Rupee One only) to the eligible shareholders as on the record date,” the company said in a filing submitted to exchanges. Reward and Responsibility In a statement, Cupid chairman and managing director Aditya Kumar Halwasiya said that the 4:1 bonus is both a reward and a responsibility. The Board evaluated this bonus issue thoughtfully, keeping long-term value creation at the centre,” he said , according to Angel One. “A 4:1 bonus issue supports broader retail participation by improving affordability, while also enhancing flexibility for our existing shareholders. Most importantly, it reflects our confidence in Cupid’s growth journey and our commitment to laying a strong foundation for the next phase of scale.”
